Disappointing

still no sound (at all!)on air 2 (ios 9) and still sloppy framerate (where it was buttersmooth before Slitherine bought out the developer). You (Slitherine) destroyed a beautiful game. Thanks for...nothing.I hope youll NEVER update DoM and Desert Fox (although DoM has soundproblems on ios9 as well...no music or environmental noises)

disappointing

no level to adjust, slow AI, booring, only one map and a handful of units, very primitive in comparision to modern strategy games on PC, if this is the best strategy game on iOS (as some reviewers stated) then -> poor iOS

The fonts are too small

Although in the other 2 the fonts are big it seems that in this one there is a bug .... Plz Fix

Would give the update no stars if possible...

So, they took a game that played great on phones and tablets and then shredded it o make it Windows and Mac compatible... There are tons of games better suited to the pc/Mac environment. Destroying the tablet/phone playability of this game to make it run on those platforms is, well, stupid. Also, the new multi-player interface is a definite downgrade from Game Center. This game has been ruined! Save your $10!

Still iffy.

So I finally switched to the new version as not many were left to play the original. Not very impressed. AI has been lobomized, just surrounded about 10 divisions. Much more difficult to understand multiplayer system compared to original Game Center. Lets hope they get it right for the next update, but not hopefull. Hear they plan to "improve" Drive on Moscow as well.

Terrible game dont bother

Cheap rip off of gmt.

I enjoyed it. Too bad the solitaire game is so short.

I have been playing for one day only. I have not tried a multiplayer game yet. The cons: - the solitaire experience is too short. There are only two scenarios, and the first one is so constrained it leaves few choices to players. Despise the choice of two different sides and two different AI, I finished the solitaire game the day I bought the app. That is something you should know if you are planning to play solitaire only. - the scenarios - only two on launch date - are too constrained. The replay value is low because players do not have enough time and space to develop alternative strategies. There are only a few good moves that allow the Axis player to reach the objectives in time. Playing the Allies can get boring because it is often about holding a position in a forest and passing turns. - the AI is weak, which is to be expected with such a complex game. Its choices seem to indicate that it is scripted only - no planning - which is a little weird considering that time is such an important aspect of the scenario objectives. On the other hand it seems quite good at analysing support lines. The pros: - Production quality is excellent. The user experience is great. - The game system is very interesting. It is easy to jump into the game using the tutorial. The system has a lot of depth. Players must read the game rules if they want to improve their skills. Some combat modifiers are too easy to overlook - artillery for instance. A visual reminder would have been nice - maybe as an animation during combat. Conclusion: - Totally worth the price asked for the quality and the effort put into the production. Disappointing scenarios. Disappointing solitaire longevity. A move in the right direction but we are not there yet.

Quite interesting concept!

Very good dev quality, deep game concept, history seems quite respected and very well outlined! Playing axis and concluding a major victory is the challenge! Once this is achieved replayability is (for now?) poor. Considering how detailed and deep are this game rules we expect more long scenarios and many more episodes! Bravo!

Too short. Poor value

The game is good. For as long as it lasts. One (small) map, three battle phases. And thats it. Unless you want to pay yet more money for extras.

Battle of the Bulge

Very good game ! Very good work but.. .. French please

Not for Everyone, but quite good

I like it, and it seems to be a well-balanced, deep strategy game. I dont think the price of 9 Euros is fair for only 2 scenarios, one of which is a two-day variant of the other, and two AIs that as a beginning player I cannot judgein terms of strategy and quality of play. Good Music, good sound, great atmosphere. GUI is sometimes great, sometimes a little suboptimal - Id like a "auto undo" when I select a completely different unit, instead of having to manually undo 3 or 4 times. Sometimes the coders cut corners, using iOS standard popups instead of their game UI to ask for confirmations. I dont know whether this is close to popular tabletop games out there, but I find combat highly random and thus a bit frustrating. It takes time to learn, and the combat preview seems to be there only to dishearten you prior to an attack. I havent tried multi player yet, but this is what I got the game for, might change my rating depending on the experiences I will make.

Bad, boring, overpriced

Want to play a Bulge game that has overpowered americans? Want to pay a price that is very high for the amount of game you get? Then this little beauty is for you..... Stay away...

A true wargame

This is the first true wargame for iPad. Excellent game!

Best on ipad

Great gameplay, easy to learn, best war game on ipad so far.

Amazing

An engrossing board game, with an incredibly slick UI. Perfect!

Best wargame for the iPad

Hands down the best wargame, but its approachable enough that it can easily be enjoyed by the non-hardcore gaming crowd. Note, its not casual (thank goodness), but it can be picked up in 15 minutes (although beating the very decent AI is not trivial!) Recommended for any gamer with an interest in WWII history.

Battle of the bulge

What a great game. multiplayer is fast and fun. The game is accessible to anyone including grognard and novice war gamers. Only wish it had more scenarios but then again we wouldnt have such great ai if they were not allowed to focus on one map, additional scenarios should be dlc not sold as a new game which seems to be the model in place.

The perfect wargame!

This game is absolutely amazing... It is the best wargame in the app store (very) and surpass the majority of those on pc! Please, to all others wargamer builders: take notes!

Excellent

Hope this paves the way for other serious war games on the tablet. This is the future I think. Military board games are going extinct.pc games have advantage of bigger screen, but I think this is the way to go.great

Not worth the money

I bought this game the first day it was released. I like the game but it isnt worth $9.99. Too short. Limited replay value.
